I’ve been in Richmond a long time, 17 years old, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12 years old. Long time. A lot of numbers in my head. Richmond has a lot of noise, too many cars, the noise is every day, every morning, every afternoon, every night. Richmond has a lot of people.

  • A photograph of the outside of a building, taken from the sidewalk. The building is NIAD Art Center, a one-story storefront with the letters "NIAD" written vertically on corner. The left wall of the building is painted bright pink and features a large figurative mural which depicts many hand-drawn figures and green and purple flowers. The right wall of the building is painted yellow and has a row of tall windows. In the lower foreground of the image, there is a chain link fence and a large green hedge.
