Collection: City Living, Selected By Andrew Holmquist

About the exhibition

“City Living” explores how artists depict their experience of the urban environment. The city is viewed at a distance in miniature, it is moved through at high speed, it is pulled apart, diagrammed, and reassembled. The cold concrete grid becomes the lattice upon which human activity grows. In these works of art, we are invited on each artist’s personal route through the city.
