About the exhibition
This exhibition is dedicated to Whitney Houston and Robyn Crawford's unrequited love. Robyn Crawford, Whitney's childhood friend, bodyguard, confidant and roommate, spoke out for the first time recently confirming her early romantic relationship with singer Whitney Houston. She described their first kiss as: "And then all of a sudden, we were face to face. The kiss was long and slow, like honey. As we eased out of it, my nerves shot up and my heart beat furiously. Something was happening between us." Due to the homophobic culture of the time, and public-ness of Whitney's career, their physical relationship ended, a deep friendship continued. This collection is a what if they could have been together?
