News : NIAD Art Center’s New Executive Director

Amanda comes to the Executive Director role at NIAD with more than two decades of experience in the nonprofit and arts fields (including as a former studio manager at NIAD). Her experience in project, team, and grant management, as well as budget oversight and a wealth of connections in Richmond, Contra Costa, and the larger Bay Area, make her an ideal replacement for Deborah Dyer who has served NIAD with passion for the past eight years. While Amanda Eicher will continue to represent NIAD’s core values of inclusion, independence, and self-expression, she additionally aims to actively involve the larger NIAD network in co-creating a future vision for the organization.

I see so much potential for continued growth at NIAD – the staff, the board, and the organization as a whole are all well-poised to extend NIAD’s mission in Richmond and far beyond,” enthuse Amanda. “I am both honored and pleased to return to this vital studio community and to continue building the relationships that best support artistic and personal success for our artists.

Amanda Eicher’s tenure as Executive Director begins December 3, 2018.
