About the exhibition
Four seasons. Four elements. Four cardinal directions. Four dimensions. Four Noble Truths. Four Gospels. Gang of Four. Four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Four corners of the world. The Fab Four. Four beats per measure. Final Four. Four limbs. The Fantastic Four. Four color printing process. Four states of matter.
A playful selection of works from the NIAD online archives that riff on the number four. Referencing the steady, uniformly accented beat used in many popular styles of dance music, these works radiate rhythm and tempo.
